How to import a multisig wallet from Bitcoin.com wallet v5.13 and below Bitcoin.com Wallet v7.10+

Summary

The new Bitcoin.com Wallet app now supports multi-sig shared wallets. First you will need to get your shared wallets 12 word recovery phrase from the old wallet installed on your desktop PC. Once you have correct 12 words recovery phrase, please follow these instructions to import your multi-sig wallet.

Step-by-step instructions to import a multisig wallet from old wallets

Step 1

Click into your shared wallet and tap the "Settings" cog in the top-right corner.

Step 2

Navigate to "Backup" and tap it.


Step 3

Write down your 12 word recovery phrase on a piece of paper.

Step 4

Please note Wallet Configuration (m-n): 2-2 or 2-3 etc stands for a multisig wallet.

Step 5

Open your new wallet app and on the "Home" screen tap "ADD/IMPORT".


Step 6

Select "IMPORT WALLET".


Step 7

Select the "Asset Type", Bitcoin Cash (BCH) or Bitcoin (BTC) depending on what currency wallet you are importing.


Step 8

Select "Wallet type"


Step 9

Under "Recovery Phrase" enter your shared wallets 12 word recovery phrases and tap "IMPORT BCH WALLET".

Step 10

Verify other copayers have successfully imported their seeds.

Basically when one person does the import, they should be bugging other people in the wallet to update and make sure that their shared funds are safe.

Your Shared wallet is now imported to a new app.
