Summary

Avalanche and Polygon are two of the several blockchain networks supported in the app. They are “smart contract” blockchains like Ethereum, which means many different tokens and applications live on them. In the Bitcoin.com Wallet app, you can manage tokens on the Avalanche and Polygon networks. You can also interact with applications that live on the Avalanche and Polygon networks. This article guides you through the process.

How can I start using tokens on Avalanche and Polygon?

To make transactions on Avalanche, you need some AVAX to cover transaction fees. For Polygon, you need MATIC to pay fees. But don’t worry, fees are low on Avalanche and Polygon! That’s because Avalanche and Polygon are next-generation blockchains that leverage novel tech to increase speed and decrease costs. You can purchase AVAX and MATIC in a few taps in the wallet here.

Where are my Avalanche and Polygon tokens displayed?

From the Funds tab in the app, tap on your Avalanche (AVAX) or Polygon (MATIC) wallet. Any supported tokens you hold in those wallets are displayed here.

You can also see your Avalanche and Polygon tokens from the Home tab, although here you'll need to tap on an individual asset to get a breakdown of which blockchain networks you have that asset on. For example, if you have USDC in your portfolio, tap on USDC from the Home tab. This will display all your wallets that have USDC in them.

Which Avalanche and Polygon tokens are supported?

To see a list of the Avalanche and Polygon tokens supported in the Bitcoin.com Wallet app, tap the receive button from your Avalanche (AVAX) or Polygon (MATIC) wallet screen. Note that while only supported tokens are shown in the app, all tokens sent to your Avalanche and Polygon wallets will remain in your custody.

Receiving tokens on Avalanche and Polygon

From your Avalanche (AVAX) or Polygon (MATIC) wallet screen, tap the receive button. You’ll see a list of the tokens supported. Tapping on one of them will display your address, which you can share with the sender. As soon as the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain — which should only take a few seconds — your tokens will be displayed in the app. Please note that while only supported tokens are shown in the app, all tokens sent to your Avalanche and Polygon wallets will remain in your custody. Sending tokens on Avalanche and Polygon

You can send any asset in the app, regardless of the chain, in just a few taps. Sending tokens that live on Avalanche and Polygon is a fast and low-fee experience — the way crypto was meant to be!

Swapping tokens on Avalanche and Polygon

You can easily swap into tokens that are supported on the Avalanche and Polygon blockchains. In the swap flow, just select Avalanche or Polygon as the network to swap on. For example, let’s say you want to swap Bitcoin for USDC. When you select USDC as the asset to swap into, you’ll be prompted to choose between the Avalanche, Polygon, and Ethereum blockchains (which are the supported networks USDC lives on).

Using dApps on Avalanche and Polygon

You can connect to decentralized applications (dApps) on the Avalanche and Polygon networks using WalletConnect, a feature supported in the app. dApps on Avalanche and Polygon enable DeFi use cases like trading, borrowing and lending, prediction markets, crypto derivatives, synthetic assets, NFTs, and more. With tokens on Avalanche and Polygon supported in the app, you’ll be able to see and manage supported tokens that you interact with via dApps.
