In the last article, we learned how to swap between hundreds of cryptocurrencies in just a few taps. In this article, you will learn how to send and receive cryptocurrencies to pay for goods and services, settle obligations to friends and family, or move your assets from one wallet to another.

Send

Sending crypto is as easy as choosing the amount to send and deciding where it goes.

  1. Tap the 'Send' button at the top of the Home screen.

  2. Select the asset you wish to send from the list of available assets.

  3. On the next screen, specify who the recipient is. You can do so in four ways:

    • Input the wallet address: Copy and paste the recipient's wallet address into the field.

    • Scan a QR code: Scan the recipient’s QR code.

    • My Wallets: Choose a wallet from the list.

    • Shareable Links: This only works when sending Bitcoin Cash. We will cover this in another article.

  4. Enter how much you want to send. You can specify the amount denominated in local currency like US Dollars or in the token itself.

  5. Under “Send from:” you can choose from which wallet you wish to send.

  6. Tap on 'Continue.' Carefully check that you're happy with the details and then slide the arrow to send.

Here’s an example of how to send Bitcoin:

Receive

To receive a cryptoasset, simply provide the sender with the appropriate cryptoasset address, which you can easily find in your Bitcoin.com Wallet app.

  1. Tap the 'Receive' button near the top of the Home screen.

  2. Select the asset you wish to receive from the list of available assets.

  3. At the bottom under “Receiving wallet,” choose which wallet you want to receive the asset into. For example, you may want to receive to your “Long-term savings” wallet.

  4. Your chosen wallet will generate an address that lets you receive coins. Copy this by tapping the QR code.

  5. Provide this address to the sending party, or if you're in person, the sender can scan your wallet QR code with their device.

And that's it! Now you know how to send & receive any cryptocurrency in just a few taps.
