Stablecoins such as USDC and USDT can be received on multiple blockchain networks using the Bitcoin.com Wallet app.

📺 Watch the video tutorial here:

Table of Contents

1. Overview

Many stablecoins are available on more than one blockchain network. For example, USDC and USDT can be received on:

  • Ethereum (ETH)

  • Avalanche (C-Chain)

  • BNB Smart Chain (BSC)

  • Polygon

Each network uses different addresses and transaction systems, so always confirm which network the sender is using before receiving funds.

2. Supported Networks for Stablecoins

In the Bitcoin.com Wallet app, supported stablecoins such as USDC or USDT can be received on networks including:

  • Ethereum (ERC-20)

  • Avalanche (C-Chain)

  • BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)

  • Polygon

📌 Note: Some stablecoins — such as USDC or YUSDC — are also supported on the Stellar network.

To receive stablecoins on Stellar, follow the instructions in this dedicated guide:

3. How to Receive Stablecoins

  1. Tap Receive (or go to Wallets and choose a supported wallet).

  2. Search for the stablecoin (e.g., USDC or USDT).

  3. Select the network (e.g., Ethereum, Avalanche C-Chain, BNB Smart Chain, or Polygon).

Your address and QR code will appear—share them with the sender.

4. Important: Choose the Correct Network

⚠️ Always ensure the sender is using the same network you selected.

For example:

  • If you choose USDC on Ethereum, the sender must send via Ethereum.

  • If you choose USDT on BNB Smart Chain, the sender must send via BNB Smart Chain.

Selecting the wrong network can result in permanent loss of funds.

When in doubt:

  • Confirm the network with the sender

  • Double-check before sharing your address

5. Gas Fees (Native Coin Required)

Receiving a stablecoin usually doesn’t require a fee from your wallet, but sending or transferring it does.

To send a stablecoin, you’ll need a small amount of the network’s native coin in the same wallet to pay the gas fee.

Example:

  • If you receive USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), you’ll need a small amount of ETH in that wallet to send or transfer the USDC.

This also applies to other networks (you’ll need their native coin to cover gas).
