Creating liquidity pools on Verse DEX is straightforward. By creating a liquidity pool, and thereby contributing liquidity on Verse DEX, you can earn a share of the trading fees generated from the trades that leverage the liquidity provided.

Step-by-step instructions to create a liquidity pool

  1. Click on “Create Pool”

  2. Sign in with Metamask or Wallet Connect

  3. Select the tokens that will make up the pool. If the pool has already been created, you will be notified to deposit into the pool instead.

  4. Click on “Confirm Token Pair”

  5. Enter the amount of tokens you wish to fund the pool with.

    • It is recommended to deposit an equal value of both assets into the pool. As the DEX will maintain the 50:50 value ratio at all times.

    • It is recommended to create new pools with at least US$20,000 of funds, to provide enough liquidity to support the trades on the pair.

  6. When you are satisfied with the deposit amounts, click “Create New Pool” to start the process.

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to approve the use of the tokens in your wallet, and to confirm the deposit into the pool. You’re done!

When a new pool is created on the Verse Dex, the pool’s dollar value is calculated using conversion rates from Bitcoin.com’s Markets API which gathers data from a range of cryptocurrency exchanges. After the first swap has taken place via the new pool, the pool’s dollar value switches to being calculated using conversion rates from the Verse DEX. For this reason, the dollar value displayed before the first swap may be different than the dollar value displayed after the first swap.
