To receive a crypto-asset, simply provide the sender with your address or QR code. You just need to make sure you're providing the right address / QR code.
Starting from the app's home screen, tap the "RECEIVE" button at the top right.
From the drop-down menu at the top, select the crypto-asset to receive. (Eg. Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, etc.)
Tap "Copy Address," then provide the sender with the copied address (by emailing or messaging it to the sender). Alternatively, the sender can scan the QR code shown in your Bitcoin.com Wallet app. This will autofill the send field for the sender.
Sending one crypto-asset type (eg. BTC) to another crypto-asset wallet type (eg. a BCH wallet) will likely result in the irreversible loss of your funds.
How do I know which address to provide?
Your Bitcoin.com Wallet actually consists of multiple wallets, one for each of the blockchains we support. This means you have a BTC wallet, a BCH wallet, and an ETH wallet. Each of those wallets has its own unique address, so when you want to receive BTC, you'll need to provide the sender with your BTC wallet address. Further, for each cryptocurrency type, you can create as many wallets as you want. This may help you to organize your funds. For example, you can create one BTC wallet called "My BTC Savings," and another called "My BTC Trading Wallet." If you want to receive BTC in your "My BTC Savings" wallet just provide the sender with the address for that wallet.
Is it safe to give out my crypto addresses?
You can safely give out your crypto addresses to friends, family, and acquaintances. No one can steal your crypto-assets using just your crypto address. They'd need both your address and the 'private key' (passphrase) to it. However, you should know that, since the crypto-networks are publicly viewable, whoever knows your crypto address can easily find out exactly how much cryptocurrency you have at that address by simply pasting the address into a block explorer like this one (for Bitcoin). They can also see every transaction you've ever made using that address. If you don't want people to see this information, you'll need to use a fresh crypto address. Luckily, that's easy to do. The Bitcoin.com Wallet allows you to create an unlimited number of new addresses, and creating a new address is done with the touch of a button.

🔍 TIP: To protect your privacy, it's recommended to use a fresh crypto address for every transaction.
