Why should I generate and use a new cryptocurrency address each time I receive Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

All Bitcoin and cryptocurrency transactions are public, traceable, and permanently recorded in the blockchain data. When addresses are re-used, it becomes easier for third parties to track your activity and determine how much money you have and what you are using it for. Using a fresh address each time you receive Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will help to preserve your financial privacy.

What happens to my old addresses when I generate a new address?

All old addresses are securely saved in your Bitcoin.com Wallet app. This means you can still receive payments to all previously generated addresses.
